The Wash
Our handmade items prefer handwash and spot cleaning (in fact, your other clothes will thank you for washing less, too). When you do need to machine wash, place bonnets in a garment bag, turn larger items inside out and wash in cold on delicate with a natural detergent. We love The Simply Co. powdered laundry detergent.

The Dry
For bonnets, lay flat to dry. For pants hang them to dry from the waistband. Dresses/shirts should be hung from the bottom hem. A light shake and a snap before hanging will help with wrinkles. If you’re in a hurry, tumble dry low.

The Maintenance
Care for your bonnets by hanging them by their straps when not in use or laying them flat (but not squished) in a drawer or basket. To relieve wrinkles, fold a handtowel or washcloth and fill the bonnet with it. Then, iron and steam the wrinkles out based on your iron’s guidelines. For garments, store them hung on gentle hangers, wooden work well, and iron out the wrinkles with steam as needed. Linen gets more relaxed the more your wear.
